Isuzu Power Solutions News Wrap August 2019

Aug 27, 2019 0min read

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) first entered the power solutions market in 2008, offering a wide range of power solutions for use across a wide range of applications, such as in agriculture, irrigation, forestry, water pumping and more.

In May 2019, IAL officially rebranded its off-highway engines department from Isuzu Engines to Isuzu Power Solutions (IPS). Matt Sakhaie now leads IPS as the new Head of Power Solutions. Expanded product offering Over the course of 2019, IPS has been working hard behind the scenes, strengthening the brand’s presence in the power solutions market by growing the team and expanding their product offering. In April 2019, IPS introduced a new line of power generating sets (GenSets) to the market. This includes a range of GenSets that features locally sourced and designed componentry fit for Australian conditions and applications. Appointment of new IPS Sales Manager IPS has also appointed Troy Lawson as the new Sales Manager, SA and NSW, to ramp up the sales front in South Australia and New South Wales. Mr Sakhaie said Mr Lawson’s appointment is a strategic move to further strengthen the organisation’s presence across Australia, following the recent rebranding of Isuzu Australia Limited’s off-highway engines department into Isuzu Power Solutions. “The rebrand represents a very exciting time for us, and Troy’s appointment is one of the first steps in assembling a passionate and high-performing team here,” said Mr Sakhaie. Mr Lawson believes that he will be able to contribute positively to the growth of the IPS brand. “There is a huge opportunity to grow IPS and I look forward to the challenge of identifying what the market requires and making sure we’ve got the best solution to meet those needs,” Mr Lawson said. Fresh look for spec sheets As part of the rebrand, IPS has recently refreshed their sales and marketing collateral with an updated website and brand new spec sheets for the IPS GenSet range. The new spec sheets are a great resource for dealers, empowering them in the sales and marketing process by making the content on the products easily available. Events and field days IPS have participated in select events such as Agfest (Launceston, Tasmania; 2 to 4 May 2019) and FarmFest (Kingsthorpe Park, Queensland; 4 to 6 June 2019) to showcase their products, as well as offer advice and make use of the opportunity to better understand customers’ needs. Field days and other industry events are absolutely invaluable to IPS, providing the platform to garner insight into customers’ requirements. In August alone, the IPS team will be making an appearance at the following:
  • AgQuip, Gunnedah, New South Wales (20–22 August 2019). This is arguably the largest field day event in New South Wales’s agricultural calendar, connecting farmers and agri-businesses, providing a platform to meet face-to-face and discuss emerging trends and technologies.
  • AFAC19, Melbourne, Victoria (27–30 August 2019). Emergency service professionals will attend AFAC19’s exhibition and conferences to commence the dialogue on the new wave of change the industry is set for. The exhibition showcases a broad range of innovative products, and IAL will display a range of products from Isuzu Trucks and Isuzu Power Solutions.
