Presenting new dual control trucks at AWRE 2019

Isuzu Trucks will soon be taking part at another eventful Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE), running from 30 to 31 October 2019 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. This year, Isuzu Trucks will be displaying a new medium-duty dual control truck, the FVY 240-300 Dual Control, specifically tailored for waste and recycling management and to meet the demand in the industry. In the face of growing concerns that the waste and recycling industry in Australia has reached a crisis point that is seemingly worsening, the AWRE expo plays an important role in connecting industry professionals and presenting solutions for the waste and recycling industries.

Continuing support for Life Education Victoria

Supporting Life Education Victoria for yet another year in their long-standing partnership, IAL has provided the organisation with Isuzu trucks, which are responsible for towing Life Education Victoria’s mobile learning classrooms to schools across Victoria. Over the last four years, IAL has donated trucks to enable the Life Education Victoria team and their mascot, Healthy Harold, to transport their immersive mobile classrooms around the state. IAL is also a corporate sponsor of the Life Education Victoria gala dinner, an annual fundraising event to enable the organisation to reach more regional and disadvantaged areas of Victoria.

Backing the 2019 Variety Bash

The first Variety Bash took place in 1985, started by Dick Smith to raise funds for Variety – the Children’s Charity. Over its 35-year history, Variety Bash has visited hundreds of schools and fundraised for essential items for children, including wheelchair-accessible drinking fountains and playground equipment. Isuzu Trucks joined the Variety Bash for another year in their longstanding relationship of over 15 years, loaning the charity event the Isuzu support truck. The Isuzu truck on loan is a Giga CXY prime mover, which was used to tow a support trailer, transporting donated equipment, camping gear and essential Bash materials.

Upcoming media drive day

Shining the spotlight on Isuzu’s light- and medium-duty ranges, Isuzu Trucks will be hosting a media drive program in early November, featuring a range of models from Isuzu’s extensive RTW range. To be held in Victoria, journalists will be flown in from all over the country to attend the drive, which will give them opportunity to get up close and personal with these trucks and test them out. Attendees will be able to experience the engines and transmission available across a selection of cab types of the ever-popular RTW range.
