Isuzu Trucks Presenting New Dual Control Trucks At Awre 2019
Isuzu Trucks is proud to be taking part in what is set to be another eventful Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE), which will run from 30 to 31 October 2019 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
This year’s AWRE promises to be buzzing, with over 1,500 industry-leading manufacturers, suppliers and distributors from across the Asia-Pacific, North America and the United Kingdom attending. In the face of growing concerns that the waste and recycling industry in Australia has reached a crisis point that is seemingly worsening, the AWRE expo plays an important role in connecting industry professionals and presenting solutions for the waste and recycling industries. At the upcoming 2019 AWRE, Isuzu Trucks will be displaying a new medium-duty dual control truck, the FVY 240-300 Dual Control, specifically tailored for waste and recycling management and to meet the demand in the industry. The FVY Dual Control is one of three new F Series dual control trucks set to be launched by Isuzu Trucks; the others are the FVD 165-300 Dual Control and the FVZ 260-300 Dual Control. These three new dual control models will bolster Isuzu’s current offerings for the waste industry, joining the current FSR 140-260 Dual Control. Isuzu Australia Limited National Sales Manager, Les Spaltman, said that the new dual control F Series models are built for the job with impressive payload and capacity for their size—all the while providing manoeuvrability in tight-access urban environments. “With payload and power-to-weight advantages critical factors in our approach, these dual control solutions really stand out in the market,” said Mr Spaltman. “Part of the rationale for selecting the FVY platform for this job was the availability of the Hendrickson HAS460 airbag suspension system in the rear. “This industry-leading component alone represented a huge weight saving of around 500 kg, as compared to more common multi-leaf steel spring suspension set-ups. “This in itself was an operator advantage, and one of many we’ve sought to apply to this particular spec.” Of AWRE and Isuzu’s commitment to providing customer-focused transport solutions, Mr Spaltman said, “We’re committed to delivering cost-effective, fit-for-purpose capital equipment that’s highly competitive and meets genuine need. “We’re continually striving to improve our offering… and partnering and mixing with like-minded business and industry leaders ensures that we are exposed to the latest thinking and ideas. “Isuzu and AWRE have a longstanding partnership, and we continue to offer our services and support in their efforts towards fostering better waste and recycling management.”Isuzu N Series.
