May: 2018 Truck Of The Year Entrants

May 29, 2018 0min read

The mercury is dipping south but so far as Isuzu’s Truck of the Year 2018 competition is concerned, all signs point north as things hot up at the midway point of the competition.

We turn our attention to our May entrants and the quality is high as we wind our way down that road to the coveted prize and of course, bragging rights. This month’s winner, picking up $300 worth of Isuzu merchandise, is Dynamic Excavations. All monthly winners of course go into the running to win the end of year Grand Prize – a $6,000 visa cash card. So, don’t wait, enter your Isuzu today!

Dynamic Excavations

Recognising that some valuable equipment lies in the ground beneath us, Dynamic Excavations forged a business out of keeping underground services in tact while excavating. Leigh Gray wanted a truck fit to task and here’s the result, Dynamic’s FVD 165-300. Leigh “watched it progress from a cab chassis to this the final product and also had some input into its design.”

MacU Kitchens

Husband and wife team Simon and Justine McCarthy have been combining their respective talents for the last 13 years to deliver some outstanding custom cabinetry to the Mildura area, from design to construction. But the cabinets don’t get their themselves. These NPR 45-155s are the third and fourth Isuzu Tradepack units which Simon and Justine from MACU Kitchens have purchased from Mildura Truck Centre.

Alyssa Lalor Trading Trust

Even the toughest of judges would have to admit Anthony Demicoli’s FYJ 2000 looks pretty damn good. But wait, there’s more! “What makes my truck awesome is that it is so comfortable and amazing to drive which makes the job I love even better now! I was driving a Freightliner but now jumping into my Izuzu I have hit the jackpot and I am in love with her!” A love for the ages.

They use their Isuzu FXZ 240-350 auto MWB due to its “welding solutions and 12,000 litre water tank fit-out.” Boss Kane Whitworth says give me more! “We have ordered a further 4 trucks from Mildura Truck Centre - including an Isuzu FYJ 300-350 auto MWB 18,000 litre water tank - and an FVR 165-300 MWB tipper.”  We’ll keep our eyes peeled.
