 Vince Cordoma’s family has been using Isuzus for over 40 years, but they haven’t owned one that looks this good before. “We needed a local rigid, that not only blended in well with the wider fleet, but was also powerful and reliable. The Isuzu FYJ was the perfect choice,” he said.

 Alex Franzinelli, from crane specialists CHC Hire, uses his impressive looking FYH 2000 to transport cranes that are used in the construction industry, and said his Isuzu is a major status symbol: “When you turn up with a new 8X4 Isuzu onsite, everyone knows who’s boss!”

 Anthony Jackson’s bullbar looks like it could take out a dinosaur, but what’s beneath the bonnet of his FRD 110-260 is definitely worth protecting. “When I was in the market for a new truck I could not go past the Isuzu, my last truck was a 2004 FRR and had clocked up 1.7 million kilometres,” Anthony said.

If you’re looking for a definition of bells and whistles, Grant Munn’s NLR Traypack certainly fits the bill. “I fitted my truck with quite a few accessories, a custom made stainless steel sunvisor, stainless steel wheel covers, stainless steel mirror covers for marker lights, 20 marker lights (tray, mirrors, bullbar), a light bar, a mesh stone guard and rear spot lights for reversing,” he said.

 John Martin’s business, AG Services, maintains and services agricultural aircraft, so he knows a thing or two about quality machines, but still maintains his FSD 140-260 is the star of his fleet. “The cabins on both trucks are very comfortable and the airbag suspension ensures they drive on the road like an expensive motor vehicle,” he said.
