OCTOBER: TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2021

Nov 09, 2021 0min read
With the weather growing warmer (and wilder!) by the day, entries for our Truck of the Year competition are also coming in hot. With only one more month left to enter for 2021, we expect some cracking trucks to hit our inbox and cannot wait to see which truck will reign supreme. Without further ado, let’s look at this month’s winner. Congratulations to DAJWOOD PTY LTD and their FYJ 300-350 from Queensland, for taking out the monthly prize! Like all our monthly winners, Dajwood takes home $300 worth of Isuzu Trucks merchandise and is now in the running for the Grand Prize—a $6,000 Visa cash card. They also have the chance to win an additional $1,000 Visa cash card if they’re crowned King of the N, F, FX/FY or Giga Series. There are only a few weeks left to enter your Isuzu online in this year's Truck of the Year. Click here to enter, or click here to see the full terms and conditions of the competition.

OCTOBER 2021 MONTHLY WINNER – DAJWOOD PTY LTD

Providing plant hire equipment for the mining and agricultural sectors up in QLD, Dajwood can do it all with their large fleet of well-maintained Isuzu trucks. Managing Director Darb Thomson sends in this snap of his hardy FYJ 300-350 for reference, noting their fleet of medium- and heavy-duty Isuzu Trucks are unfailingly reliable—making them ideal for harsh mining environments. With trucks offering GVM ratings of 26,000 kg and more, Dajwood has more than enough capacity to transport both wet and dry hire solutions to any client who comes knocking.

SAM GAYNOR BUILDING

An experienced local builder in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Sam Gaynor is in the business of making dream homes come true. And now he does it with the help of his dream truck: the FRR 107-210 AMT Tipper. With the transport and removal of construction materials a big part of the job, Sam can’t get enough of the handy features on his F Series Tipper. “The tipper function is the bee's knees and it saves my back! It’s so easy to drive that my wife likes hopping in the cab too.”

DONALD GLOVER

Running on Isuzu’s tried and trusted 4HK1-TCC engine, Donald’s NPR 65-190 (converted to this enviable caravan-style rig) has enough power to tow whatever he needs through Tasmania’s rugged terrain. Sporting a GVM of 6,500 kg and GCM of 10,000 kg, a genuine bullbar and all the necessaries for adventure. As for Donald, he’s excited that the truck will be his grey nomad tow vehicle. Happy travels, Donald!

PATRICK LAHOOD

According to Patrick from Shalvey, NSW, the Isuzu N Series Tipper range is leaps ahead of the competition when it comes to work-smart features that help him get the job done efficiently for his clients. “Thankfully someone has been thinking outside the box with the NLR Tipper design!” exclaims Patrick. “Isuzu have thought of absolutely everything from their tipper tray with the two-way tail gate (no more pins!), to their faultless 4JJ1 engine.” Three cheers for faster tipping Patrick, brought to you by Isuzu!

ADELAIDE LIQUID WASTE SOLUTIONS

We’ll say it once, we’ll say it twice—we can’t get enough of the sleek grey fleet over at Adelaide Liquid Waste Solutions in South Australia. From sewage overflows, septic tanks to portable toilets, ALWS can service just about any sticky situation (and look mighty fine while doing it) with their fleet of Isuzus. But owner Suzanne Magro notes it’s not only about the looks, their latest FRR 110-260 was designed by partner, Ben Harris, in conjunction with North East Isuzu to make the day-to-day work load easier for their operators, cutting down on manual handling and driver fatigue. Time is ticking! Enter your Isuzu truck here today for the chance to win big in the Truck of the Year competition for 2021. *(T&Cs apply)
