MARCH: TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2022

Apr 19, 2022 0min read
Did you know our Truck of the Year competition has been running for over 25 years? And this year, the competition holds special meaning as Isuzu marks 50-years of selling trucks in Australia. To celebrate the occasion, this month, we introduce the “Heritage Isuzu”—giving truck owners with old Isuzu beauties their very own category to compete in. Like all monthly winners, the winner of the new Heritage Isuzu category will be up for a $300 Isuzu merchandise pack and the chance to be named as King of their respective model series (N/F/FX & FY). So pull out those pictures of your conkers, honkers and the old girl gracing the back paddock, because our judges have their rose-tinted glasses on and are ready to indulge in some serious Isuzu nostalgia. The Isuzu Heritage winner will be announced later in the year, so keep your eyes peeled on Isuzu’s Content Hub and socials. Now, onto our winner for March! Congratulations go to City Coast Services and their fleet of FXZ 240-350s, which bring cleaning and drainage services to customers around New South Wales. City Coast Services takes home $300 worth of Isuzu Trucks merchandise and is now in the running for the Grand Prize—a $6,000 Visa cash card. They also have the chance to win an additional $1,000 Visa cash card if they’re crowned King of the F Series. There’s never been a better time to enter the competition. Click here to enter, or here to see the full terms and conditions.

MARCH TRUCK OF THE YEAR WINNER: CITY COAST SERVICES

CITY COAST SERVICES

At the heart of City Coast Services are this very smart fleet of custom-built FXZ 240-350 vacuum trucks, used to clean and clear drains around New South Wales. Pictured here in convoy zooming down the highway, we can imagine the driving team appreciate the first-class comfort of the FXZ’s cabin—which includes a shock-absorbing pneumatic ISRI 6860 seat with dual-stage air lumbar and lateral support.

PULSE PLUMBING AND GAS

Lachlan from Pulse Plumbing and Gas knows how important having the right truck for the job is, with the NLR 45-150 Tradepack onside for his dedicated Southeast Queensland plumbing team. “What’s not special about it?” asks Lachlan, sagely. Featuring ladder racks, non-slip steps and generous tray space, the Tradepack also puts the pedal to the metal with power of 110 kW @ 2,800 rpm and max torque of 375 Nm @ 1,600 – 2,800 rpm… making it a real tool and equipment moving specialist.

SNAP-ON EL COURTNEY PTY LTD

All eyes are on ‘Miss Suzie Q, the Snap-On Isuzu’—an Isuzu FRR 107-210 owned by Emma Newell-Courtney with her franchised Snap-On business. This smart unit boasts the Snap-On logo and simply exudes confidence, while providing Emma’s team the tools to get the job done, of course. “With the OHHSNAP number plates and all her bling I get a lot of compliments on how well presented my truck is,” says Emma. “I really take a lot of pride in my Isuzu.”

NEAL'S ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS

Brent Neal of Neal’s Engineering Solutions (NES) presents this striking NPR 45-155 Tradepack that you simply can’t miss on the road, with midnight and electric blue wrap grabbing attention here, there and everywhere. NES has been a force of mechanical fittings and engineering for over 20 years in the Gympie region of Queensland and seem to be highly satisfied with their choice of truck. “We have been able to start out with a great Isuzu truck and have slowly made it our own through the Neal’s Engineering Solutions touch,” Brent explains of the eye-catching but functional fit out.

DINNER PLAIN MAINTENANCE

Robert Sutherland keeps it short and sweet when he reflects on his Isuzu truck. “Reliable…” seems to aptly sum up Robert’s feelings about his NQR Tipper! This older Isuzu is a 2006 model, showing that the right truck will stand by you in the field until the cows come home. Do you have an Isuzu truck you are proud to call your own? You gotta be in it to win it, enter your truck in the competition today.

Playtime’s over, get $3,500* to spend on extras.

If you’re ready to get serious about tackling bigger jobs, grab yourself an NLR 45-150 AMT SWB Traypack from the Ready-to-Work range for $62,990 drive away*.
