Truck of the Year

August has been a tough month, and no doubt about it, with COVID-19 continuing to put a spanner in the works. So let’s start off by giving three cheers to all the local businesses, truckies and everyone doing their part to keep the country moving along during this difficult time.

A big round of applause also for this month’s winner in our Truck of the Year competitionSeville Tractors Pty Ltd and their FSS 110-210 4×4!

Check out this keen, green service machine—the FSS 110-210 4×4—converted into a service unit for Seville Tractors.

No doubt drumming up customers on the road with its hard-to-miss livery, this FSS 4×4 service unit is a “workshop on wheels” for the team, carrying all and sundry for servicing customers and their tractors in regional Victoria, no matter how rough the ground conditions.

Relying on a slick FSR 140-260 with tray body to deliver plaster and building materials to sites around Shepparton, Victoria, Xavier McBain from Total Plaster Supplies can’t get enough of his new medium-duty workhorse.

Sitting at a very useful 14,000 kg GVM and 20,000 kg GCM, the FSR brings a big payload and easy driving with a 6-speed Allison Auto option.

“This model has really impressed us with a new transmission that is smooth chaning gears,” notes Xavier.

“I bloody love my Isuzu truck! I drive by the streets of Hervey Bay and the locals toot and wave! It’s spacious, stylish and extrememly practical!” exclaims Dean from Dean Stringer Carpentry.

Judging by all the positive things Dean has to say about his neat NLR 45-150 Traypack, he’s totally sold on the smarts of Isuzu’s no-fuss Ready-to-Work range.

Thanks Dean, and keep on trucking!

The NPR 45-155 Tradepack brings it all for window replacement business, Rylock Care, offering versatility and the ability to carry and tow all their odd-sized tools and material.

Simon Corte says their Isuzu truck always looks professional getting the job done around inner-city Melbourne and appreciates the power and great manoeuvrability of the truck in tight city streets.

There’s nothing like having the whole team on board—and that’s why Horizon Landscapes have enlisted the help of this NNR 45-150 Traypack Crew with TC-AMT to help the reach clients in the more remote regions of New South Wales.

With plenty of vision in the cab and room in the tray for all their tools, the Traypack Crew can also tow a trailer and earthmoving machine with ease.

“It drives like a car, with light steering and is very comfortable,” says owner Ben Carmody.

And the best thing of all? It’s car licence-rated, so the whole Horizon team can drive it.

Looking as sharp as can be in factory black (and with a slick matching custom carrier) comes this NLR 45-150 Tradepack with TC-AMT to spice up the competition.

Sam Cox from East Coast Currents Electrical Projects notes their NLR Tradepack is the ideal setup for carrying everything required for electrical and solar work across Sydney and the East Coast of New South Wales—fitting up to 27 solar panels in the internal tray space and still room for tools, large cables and waste on site.

“The truck is so easy to drive, easy to park and is unmatched with work capabilities,” crows Sam.

“It’s the ultimate work vehicle and we absolutely love it.”

Here comes Henry Wabwile from Built By Henry having another crack at our Truck of the Year competition!

The monthly winner from June 2020, Henry says no job is too big or too small with the NNR 45-150 Traypack Crew, describing his truck as an office, workshop and “warehouse on wheels” for the smart modern tradesman.

Thanks for your support, Henry, and here’s to many more years of business efficiency—brought to you by Isuzu.

This very smartly wrapped NLR 45-150 Tipper makes one neat transport solution for Stella Building over in West Bundaberg, Queensland.

Featuring a tray volume of 2m³, an all-steel body, auto-release two-way tailgate and auto-release body lockdown hook, the Tipper saves time (and money) on the job.

“It’s a great little truck with loads of power, and it’s good at getting into tight spaces,” adds owner Callan Kuhn.
