[image_gallery][/image_gallery] Equipped with class-leading technology and the ‘can do’ attitude that accompanies Isuzu’s ready to work range, the new Isuzu NLR 45-150 Servicepack ticks all the boxes. Following the ongoing success of the Isuzu ready-to-work range, including the factory-built Tipper models in various sizes, and the eagerly sought re-designed Tradepack and Traypack models, the new Servicepack is crafted with the quality expertise that has kept Isuzu at the top of the Australian truck market for 27 years. Isuzu’s capacity to capture the needs of the Australian tradesperson and respond with a smart, flexible package can be first traced back to the release of the Tradepack model in 2003. Predicted by Isuzu to be a game-changer for the industry, the entire initial range quickly sold out across the country setting a new benchmark for the light-duty sector. Fitted with a high quality tray body, bull bar and a three-year extended warranty, the 2003 NKR Tradepack was the first of its kind to be driven from the showroom, and ‘ready to work’. Building on this excellent start, the ready-to-work range has continued to evolve and expand bringing class-leading application vehicles to the market ever since, and Isuzu is confident the NLR Servicepack will be every bit as popular as its predecessors. The new NLR Servicepack model, available with a 5-speed Manual Transmission or Isuzu’s easy driving 6-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), is designed with the specialist tradesperson or contractor firmly in mind – and can be driven with only a standard passenger car licence. Ample on-board storage is provided with eight lockers of various sizes, each fitted with internal LED lighting for optimum visibility no matter what time of the day or night you’re called to work. Between the two rows of lockers is a central storage area with load rated tie-down hooks, while the integrated-step towbar and reversing camera add to the form and functionality of the vehicle. The NLR is both compact and nimble, with a tight turning circle and short wheel base dimensions that fit comfortably into any standard driveway – perfect when home is the base of your operations. With an impressive GVM of 4,500 kg, GCM of 7,000 kg and towing capacity of up to 2,500 kg, the latest ready-to-work vehicle offers formidable payload backed up with serious power credentials. Powered by the Isuzu 4JJ1-TCS, 3.0 litre diesel turbo charged and intercooled engine, the Servicepack delivers power of 110 kW (150 PS) @ 2,800 rpm and torque of 375 Nm @ 1,600 – 2,800 rpm, while comfortably meeting the Euro V emissions standards. Isuzu Australia Chief Engineer, Product Strategy Simon Humphries says this latest offering is a real win for those tradespeople in the market for a work or field service vehicle. “The Servicepack is the perfect fit-for-purpose solution, it’s the same size as a traditional ute and boasts a superior 1.5 tonne payload and the full suite of trucking credentials behind it. “Drivers can be confident they’re carrying their load legally, and in turn the handling and control is second to none as the Servicepack is custom-built to carry these payloads. “The compact proportions of the Servicepack make it perfect for accessing work sites and getting as close to the task as you need to on domestic jobs. Superior safety standards are delivered in the NLR with driver and passenger airbags, pretensioner load limiting seatbelts on driver and passenger seats, Isuzu Stability Control System (IESC), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Anti-Skid Regulator (ASR) and an ECE-R29 compliant cab. Isuzu Australia National Sales Manager Andrew Harbison says the Servicepack model adds a versatile workhorse to an already stellar line-up. “We developed the Servicepack for tradespeople with big plans, and as the new model can be driven on a passenger car driver’s licence – business owners will have maximum flexibility among their driver workforce,” Mr Harbison said. “We’ve listened to our customers and responded to the needs of the market with a durable, multi-purpose truck that can still fit into a commercial car park or suburban driveway or garage. “The storage capabilities and central locking system have all been developed for customer convenience, security, and the maximum amount of productivity, you won’t waste time making multiple trips for those extra tools you might need on a job,” Mr Harbison said. Driver comfort is also taken care of with the Digital AudioVisual Entertainment (DAVE) unit that provides a 6.2”L C D touch screen, DAB+ digital radio and fully integrated Bluetooth with voice recognition. “With the Isuzu NLR Servicepack, we’ve created a one-stop vehicle for a huge range of applications,” Mr Harbison said. “We’re confident this offering will be a popular entry to the market as more and more tradies reap the benefits of this intelligent truck.” ends For further information, please contact:         Jeff Birdseye                                                     Marketing Manager                                             Isuzu Australia Limited                                       Phone: 03 9644 6666 For Isuzu Truck releases and photos: Arkajon Communications Phone: 03 9867 5611 Email: isuzu@arkajon.com.au
