The award recognises sales managers and consultants who consistently provide their customers with outstanding service while making a high volume of sales. Paul fought off tough competition from Canberra Isuzu’s, Peter Weir, and Suttons Trucks Arncliffe’s, Matthew McKenna, to earn the prestigious award. Paul took out the $10,000 grand prize, topping the scoreboard in all three challenges that determine the Isuzu Team Elite Champion – a product knowledge quiz, vehicle presentation and an Isuzu Sales Information System (ISIS) exercise. “It’s what I’ve always wanted to achieve within Isuzu sales,” Paul said of the award. He said the secret to his success was concentrating on more than just getting vehicles out the dealership’s doors. “It was about focusing on the entire business, instead of just truck sales, and paying attention to customer satisfaction and especially service agreements. Having the combination of those elements was what got me enough points to get over the line.” Paul is now deciding how to invest his prize money – “there’ll have to be a little holiday. And there’s been a certain TAG Heuer watch that I’ve always said if I win the National Champion I’d get” – but that’s not going to distract him from striving to offer even better service to his customers in 2017. IAL Director, Sales and Marketing Andrew Harbison – who presented the award at a dinner earlier this month – said Paul’s extensive product knowledge and excellent approach to customer service have made him an indispensable member of the Winter and Taylor Isuzu team. “Paul sets high standards for himself and the Winter & Taylor team, and continually puts his customers first,” Mr Harbison said. “Isuzu Trucks has been market leaders for 28 consecutive years and the dedication of frontline staff like Paul – and the many others working at our dealerships around the country – has been absolutely vital to ensure our continued success.” ends For further information, please contact:                Jeff Birdseye                                                             Isuzu Australia Limited                                              Phone: 03 9644 6666                                               For Isuzu Truck Releases and Photos: Arkajon Communications Phone: 03 9867 5611 Email: isuzu@arkajon.com.au
