Supporting the growth of the next generation, Life Education works to bring preventative drug, health and life education to children, helping them make informed decisions about their health.

Supporting Life Education Victoria for yet another year in their long-standing partnership, Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has provided the organisation with Isuzu trucks, which are responsible for towing Life Education Victoria’s mobile learning classrooms to schools across Victoria. Supported by the Australian Government’s Department of Education and Training, Life Education runs curriculum-based programs that provide early intervention lessons to teach and empower children to make safe and healthy lifestyle choices. The programs focus on a range of issues, including the following:
  • Learning and development
  • Nutrition and exercise
  • Personal and cyber safety
  • Emotional well-being
  • Healthy relationships
  • Drug and alcohol education
Life Education reaches over 710,000 children across the country through 100 mobile learning centres and 95 specially trained educators. Since being founded in 1979, the organisation’s programs have reached and educated over 7 million young Australians. IAL Director and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Harbison said, “It’s a privilege to support Life Education Victoria for another year, helping them to deliver positive education to millions of Australian children. “Life Education Victoria works hard to invest in our future generations, and we are pleased to be able to contribute where we can to such a positive cause.” Over the last four years, IAL has donated trucks to enable the Life Education Victoria team and their mascot, Healthy Harold, to transport their immersive mobile classrooms around the state. Metty Selman and Lloyd Ohlin (left to right) are volunteer drivers The mobile learning classrooms are fitted with innovative learning technology such as the much-loved TAM (Transparent Anatomical Mannequin), and these classrooms travel to preschools, as well as primary and secondary schools. IAL is also a corporate sponsor of the Life Education Victoria gala dinner, an annual fundraising event to enable the organisation to reach more regional and disadvantaged areas of Victoria. “Life Education Victoria is very thankful for the generous support provided by IAL over the last four years,” said Andrew Bennetto, Chief Executive Officer of Life Education Victoria. “The support by way of financial sponsorship, as well as providing two Isuzu trucks for our regional rural areas is critical in helping us fulfil our mission and helping us in the work of developing life-smart children. “Our mission is to empower children to deal with difficult life and health issues, and we are thrilled to be supported by Isuzu. “Their support over the years has helped us enormously in our mission.”
