[image_gallery][/image_gallery] For tradies looking for more payload than a Ute can safely deliver, Isuzu Trucks has come to the party with its new light-duty ‘Servicepack’. Built on an Isuzu NLR 45-150, the Servicepack offers an impressive GVM of 4,500 kg, GCM of 7,000 kg and towing capacity of up to 2,500 kg – and you only need a passenger car licence to get behind the wheel. Building on the continued success of the Isuzu ready-to-work range, the Servicepack is both compact and nimble, with a tight turning circle and short wheelbase dimensions that fit comfortably into any standard driveway or shopping centre car park space. The new model also offers ample on-board storage with two rows of lockers of various sizes, each fitted with internal LED lighting for optimum visibility no matter what time of the day or night you’re called to work. A central storage area with load rated tie-down hooks is also part of the package, and an integrated step tow-bar and reversing camera finesse the Servicepack’s already abundant form and functionality. Isuzu Australia Limited’s National Sales Manager Andrew Harbison says the Servicepack promises to be a tough new contender in the light commercial market – and for good reason. “The Servicepack was developed for tradespeople with big plans, and as the new model can be driven on a passenger car driver’s licence, business owners will have maximum flexibility among their driver workforce,” Mr Harbison said. “With the Servicepack, we’ve created a one-stop vehicle for a huge range of applications. “It’s essentially the tradies’ dream package rolled into one. It offers around the same wheelbase as a Ute, provides premium visibility and car-like comfort, all rounded out with truck-tough engineering and a superior payload of approx. 1.5 tonnes. “The Servicepack offers the peace of mind of knowing that the truck is rated with a GVM of 4,500 kg, and when loaded to this weight there are no issues with safety and handling, as every aspect of the truck has been tried, tested and expertly engineered to safely deliver on the payload promise of approx. 1.5 tonnes.” Equipped with the full suite of trucking credentials – from class-leading safety to state-of-the-art in cab technology – the Servicepack comeswith the practicality and go-anywhere flexibility and that makes it the perfect work vehicle for the discerning tradesperson. “We’ve listened to our customers and responded to the needs of the market with a durable, multi-purpose truck that can still fit into a commercial car park or suburban driveway or garage,” Mr Harbison said. “The storage capabilities and central locking system have all been developed for customer convenience and the maximum amount of productivity, you won’t waste time making multiple trips for those extra tools you might need on a job. “We’re confident this offering will be a popular entry to the market as more and more tradespeople reap the benefits of this intelligent truck with a big range of capabilities.” The Servicepack embodies drivability and versatility, available with a 5-speed Manual Transmission or Isuzu’s easy driving 6-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). Powered by the Isuzu 4JJ1-TCS, 3.0 litre diesel turbo charged and intercooled engine, the Servicepack delivers power of 110 kW (150 PS) @ 2,800 rpm and torque of 375 Nm @ 1,600 – 2,800 rpm, while comfortably meeting the Euro V emissions standards. Isuzu Australia Chief Engineer, Product Strategy Simon Humphries says this product is a real win for those tradespeople in the market for a superior, fit-for-purpose work vehicle. “It’s the same size as a traditional Ute – which is perfect if home is the base of your operations – and it boasts a superior 1.5 tonne payload and the full suite of trucking credentials behind it,” Mr Humphries said. “Drivers can be confident they’re carrying their load legally, and in turn the handling and control is second to none as the Servicepack is custom-built to carry these payloads. “The compact proportions of the Servicepack make it perfect for accessing work sites and getting as close to the task as you need to on domestic jobs.” Superior safety standards are delivered in the NLR with driver and passenger airbags, pretensioner load limiting seatbelts on driver and passenger seats, Isuzu Electronic Stability Control System (IESC), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Anti-Skid Regulator (ASR) and an ECE-R29 compliant cab. Drivers are also taken care of with the standard Digital AudioVisual Equipment (DAVE) unit that provides a 6.2” LCD touch screen, DAB+ digital radio and fully integrated Bluetooth telephone and music streaming with voice recognition. ends For further information, please contact: Jeff Birdseye Marketing Manager Isuzu Australia Limited Phone: 03 9644 6666 For Isuzu Truck releases and photos: Arkajon Communications Phone: 03 9867 5611 Email: isuzu@arkajon.com.au
