Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has further invested in the future of the Isuzu Authorised Network with the announcement that industry stalwart, Ben Lasry, has been appointed to the role of Head of Network Development. IAL’s Director and Chief of Corporate Services, Paul Evans, congratulated Mr Lasry on his appointment, and noted the newly created network development role demonstrated IAL’s commitment of supporting the nation-wide network of dealers and authorised outlets. “The Isuzu network has rallied strongly during the challenges of 2020, keeping essential road transport and local businesses on the road,” Mr Evans said. “While government stimulus measures for investment in capital equipment has been encouraging this year, dealerships have faced significant challenges and changes to the way business is conducted day-to-day. “As our new Head of Network Development, Ben will be a critical resource for new and existing dealers to lean on while they adapt to this ‘new normal’ operating environment.” Mr Lasry brings a wealth of knowledge to the management ranks of IAL, with 20 years in senior positions across the automotive industry. His experience includes logistics and supply chain operations, aftersales and commercial strategies, forecasting and demand planning, as well as sales and contract management. Mr Lasry is also versed in marketing communications, customer care, business sales and new process improvement—making him the ideal candidate for spearheading IAL’s dealer network growth. Thrilled with the opportunity to work on the ground with IAL’s dominant offering in Sales, Parts and Service across Australia’s largest truck dealership network, Mr Lasry divulged his immediate development goals. “I have always enjoyed business-to-business interactions, so it is exciting to work with Isuzu’s large authorised network, as we plan for the future enhancing our position as Market Leader in Truck Sales. “I also look forward to enhancing the current processes Isuzu has in place for our network. My immediate goal is to ensure our network partners are set up with the right resources, necessary support and plans to ensure their business runs smoothly and profitably.” Mr Evans commented further, “Isuzu believes that change brings opportunities, but only if you are prepared ahead of time and can implement strategy effectively. “IAL is committed to looking after the Isuzu authorised network. Ensuring we have the right plans in place to assist them with meeting these challenges, while moving the Isuzu brand forward in a sustainable way, is one of our top priorities.”
