NOVEMBER: TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2022
It’s been a thrilling 2022 here at Truck of the Year. This year we saw the special round of heritage trucks, celebrating 25 years of Truck of the Year Competition and 50 years of Isuzu trading trucks in Australia. The heritage round was a huge success and showcased long-time Isuzu fans and their beloved trucks. In the main monthly competition, N Series trucks and F Series trucks vied for attention and the top spots. We saw businesses of all sizes show us what they are made of and we even got to see Isuzu trucks used for recreation from camping to towing heavy caravans. There is nothing an Isuzu truck can’t do and we learnt this thanks to all the amazing entrants throughout 2022! This November the monthly prize goes to New Wave Concreting with their FRR 107-210 Tipper. They take home $300 worth of Isuzu Trucks merchandise and the chance to be named King of the F Series!
CONGRATULATIONS TO NEW WAVE CONCRETING THIS NOVEMBER
NEW WAVE CONCRETING
Luke Hinrichs of New Wave Concreting in Victoria is stoked with his FRR 107-210 Tipper. “My FRR is a vinyl wrapped head turner!” said Luke. “The way my Isuzu looks always creates inquiries and leads to more work.”
TELEVISION AGENCY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Brad Mansfield showcased his 1985 F Series JCR which is used in production for the Television Agency of South Australia. “My Isuzu JCR is our outside broadcast truck and it’s been going strong for 37 years.” Further proof of the staying power of an Isuzu truck!
OUTTASITE MOBILE WELDING
Amanda Wass from Outtasite Mobile Welding in Tasmania proudly shows what her 2021 NPS 75-155 is capable of! “My Isuzu NPS has a custom tray made by a welder for a welder,” she said. The customisation of Isuzu trucks is one of the reasons they are Australia’s favourite truck.
BRIZSCAPES
Kylie Van de Graff from Brizscapes based in sunny Brisbane in Southeast Queensland had so much to say about her NLR 45-150 Tipper. “Our Isuzu NLR 45-150 Tipper is fantastic for our landscape construction business. “We can transfer all our landscape materials and because of its compact size we are able to get into areas that others can't. With the narrow roads and small blocks within the new estates the little tipper allows us better access. “We also love Isuzu Care and night-time services which ensure we never have to go without our truck named Tipsy!”
CHEMCOURIERS
Jason Hughes of Chemcouriers in Queensland entered his pride and joy into the competition, his FVL 240-300 Auto. “My FVL has a 14-pallet mezzanine with a tailgate. It’s used for general freight as well as dangerous goods. “There’s nothing my FVL can’t handle.”
SIMPLISTIC CONSTRUCTION
Simon Graham of Simplistic Construction in Queensland wanted his NPR 45/55-155 Tradepack to shine! “I have upgraded from a ute and haven't looked back,” he said. “To be honest I'm unsure why more tradies haven't converted! “I constantly have people stop me and comment positively on my NPR’s set-up. “We designed the tools boxes to be built over a false floor between the tray and toolboxes. This provided flexibility and ability to carry all our tools, equipment and materials we need to complete our daily tasks. Plus the sub floor providing us with the ability to store materials and equipment under the toolboxes.” Acting like a mobile billboard Simon’s NPR has only brought in more business. “It helps to get many jobs over the line when we turn up for a job or quote with the NPR. The client knows we are serious about what we do and they are always impressed with our set-up.”
GRAB ONE WASTE MANAGEMENT
Andrew Powell from Grab One Waste Management based in Queensland just had to grab a FYJ 350-350 Auto because nothing less could get the job done. “My FYJ has a one-of-a-kind Cranab and hook lift,” said Andrew with glee.

ECODYNAMICS

With the reputation for reliability and aftersales that comes with Isuzu trucks we had no hesitation in picking the FYH for this application. Our fleet already utilises FSRs and NPRs so we knew the quality of truck we would be getting would be second to none.” That Isuzu reliability comes through time and again.
