FEBRUARY: TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2023

Isuzu’s Truck of the Year competition has roared into 2023 with all engines revving. The team at Truck of the Year are thrilled with the entries in the February round and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings. With delightful summer weather, and sultry sunny afternoons, there’s no better time than now to take a photo of your beloved Isuzu truck and enter it into the competition. February turned out to be a scorcher of a month, with a sizzling set of entries to the competition. From landscapers, to builders, to roadies in the music industry- Truck of the Year has just about seen it all and the year is only young! This month we are excited to announce that our monthly winner is Sam Docker of Treesafe with his FXZ 240-350! Sam wins an Isuzu merchandise prize pack valued at $300. TREESAFE

The Treesafe team sure know how to pick ‘em. Sam Docker of Treesafe puts his FXZ 240-350 to hard work with tree removal, assisting in storm clean up and tree management. Based in Southeast Queensland, Sam is kept busy with the always lush vegetation. “My FXZ 240-350 is big, bold, and beautiful,” Sam said.

DIGGERMATE LARA

“The graphics stick out like no tomorrow,” Aaron Warren of Diggermate Lara said. With his NLR 45-150 Tipper, Aaron offers his Diggermate services in Lara, just outside Geelong in Victoria. With trucks and excavators for hire, Diggermate provide landscaping, trenching, pool preparations and more. “The little truck turns so many heads in our local area,” Aaron said. “Even with a full load on the back this little truck gets the job done. We’ve had a lot of happy customers when hiring it out.”

DB BUILT CONSTRUCTIONS

The eye-catching green and black wrap of David Bousleiman’s NPR 45/55-155 Tradepack makes this light-duty truck pretty awesome. “What makes my truck special is that it stands out from your average Isuzu NPR with its unique colour scheme and style,” David said.

STRATA GUARD

Dubbed a “weapon of mass construction”, Ayden Gardener of Strata Guard in Western Australia shows us what his towering FYJ 300-350 has to offer. “My truck has a concrete pump mounted to it,” Ayden said. By the looks of things that’s not all the Strata Guard FYJ has going on out the back.

LAINE BUILDING GROUP

Matthew Richards with his NPR 45/55-155 MWB Tradepack is always kept busy at Laine Building Group in Melbourne. “It’s an all-in-one truck, from the way it drives to the way it carries materials to site,” Matthew said, “this truck is something special. “We spent time designing the truck to suit our needs and the tools that we carry day in, day out. I previously had a ute and trailer set up, and this is so much better. “The turning circle for a truck is amazing, which makes it a dream to move around the city, and it also has cruise control which makes freeway driving easy as. I could not be happier with my Isuzu truck.”

Based in the outer Melbourne suburb of Skye, David MacHugh of Normac Plumbing puts his NLR 45-150 SWB AMT Traypack to the test day in day out with more tough plumbing jobs than you can shake a spanner at. When selecting an Isuzu Truck, David had a few boxes to tick. “Firstly, it was in stock in black, secondly, the toolboxes and set up were perfect for plumbing,” David said. “The ladder racks and pipe cage were the icing on the cake! I’m wrapped and ready to clock some serious work in this beast.”

Entered by Matt James and New South Wales-based Stop Slow Traffic Control, who provide traffic management and risk assessment for construction jobs. “Everyone likes to talk about our Isuzu truck,” Matt said.

Jake Rabbito of Rabbito Excavations in Victoria loves his Isuzu truck to bits! “It’s an Isuzu!” Jake’s NQR 87/80-190 Tipper is fit for purpose in the construction industry. It can always be relied upon to haul heavy loads and go the hard yards.

DALE CLEVES MUSIC GROUP AND BILLY HYDE MUSIC

Bailey Philip from Dale Cleves Music Group and Billy Hyde Music in South Australia entered this showstopper and celebrity-adjacent NQR 87/80-190! “When Guns N' Roses are in town, who do they get to come out to their private jet and move their gear for them?” Bailey asked. “Here we are at Adelaide International Airport last November.”

With a medium-duty FSR 850 Phil Circosta of Intouch Constructions in New South Wales is ready and raring to head to the job site. “It’s customised to my needs,” Phil said.

BLACKROCK EARTHMOVING AND HAULAGE

Tony and Lisa Ham, of Blackrock Earthmoving and Haulage based in New South Wales, have entered their NLR 45-150 AMT Tipper into the competition. “It’s all black,” Tony said. With such a classy wrap this NLR 45-150 is sure to be turning heads on the job sites and on the road.
