With the COVID-19 situation still ongoing, we’re humbled to see the variety of ways people are using their trucks to deliver essential goods and services across the country.
Over here at Isuzu’s
Truck of the Year competition, we’ve seen some cracking entries with a great variety of
Ready-to-Work (RTW) models making a splash in April’s competition pool.
This month, we congratulate
Trendline Landscapes and their
NPR 65-190 Tipper (from the RTW range) as the monthly winner for April 2020! Trendline Landscapes takes away $300 worth of
Isuzu Trucks merchandise and goes in the running to win the title of King of the N Series and a $1,000 Visa cash card.
Our monthly winners also have the chance to win the ultimate Truck of the Year Grand Prize—a $6,000 Visa cash card.
If you missed out on entering this month, don’t sweat it—Truck of the Year will be back in May, so be sure to
enter your truck then!

TRENDLINE LANDSCAPES
Laurence Ursino over at Trendline Landscapes says the power and payload of his RTW
NPR 65-190 Tipper can handle any job he throws at it—whether it’s tipping loads of rocks and rubble, or carting excavation machinery to client’s worksites. And with this Tipper featuring a hefty 10,000 kg GCM, we believe him! His favourite part of the truck? “All that chrome!” exclaimed Laurence.
PLUMBLOGIC PLUMBING SOLUTIONS
This
RTW NLR 45-150 Traypack is the newest addition to
Plumblogic’s Isuzu fleet, and you can tell the folks at Plumblogic love their trucks and the great advertising a full body wrap provides. Offering 24-hour and emergency work alongside core plumbing services, Rhys from Plumblogic says the Traypack’s payload and towing capacity means they’re fully stocked and equipped to meet the needs of any customer, with the ability to tow pumping and excavation machines as required. “It’s great in regard to fuel economy, and we’re always getting nice comments about the truck wherever we go,” said Rhys. That said… an honourable mention goes out to Plumblogic and the fantastic wrap on their Traypack!
REESEY’S MECHANICAL SOLUTIONS
Reesey’s Mechanical Solutions keeps their
Ready-to-Work (RTW)
NLR 45-150 Traypack in tip-top shape as it traverses the rugged back roads of Victoria, helping to deliver mechanical and emergency breakdown services to farm machinery, trucks and other vehicles at the workshop and on-site. With enough space for all the tools and plenty of grunt for unexpected towing situations, owner Brian Reese admires the clean lines of the Traypack and notes the truck helps to drum up business while they’re out on the road.
REES ELECTRICAL
Specialising in floodlight installation and commercial electrical improvements,
Rees Electrical needs tough, reliable trucks to carry both crew and equipment safely to job sites all over NSW—and their Isuzu
FYJ 300-350 fits the bill nicely. Troy from Rees Electrical affectionately dubs the FYJ the “Swiss Army Truck”. With specially fitted roll-off tray and crane, this heavy-duty hauler looks versatile enough to tackle just about anything.
FREEMAN CONCRETING SOLUTIONS
Owner and operator Dean Freeman finds the RTW
NPR 55-155 Tradepack with medium wheelbase (MWB) the perfect match for his residential concreting business,
Freeman Concreting Solutions. According to Dean, the Tradepack has made a big difference to his business efficiency. This MWB Tradepack features a long 4.5-metre tray and 3,500 kg rated towbar, allowing for a wide variety of tools and the capacity for towing extra materials or equipment to clients all in one go. The orange highlights on the rails and footsteps certainly make this Tradepack stand out.
RELIANT PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
Laurie from
Reliant Property Maintenance knows the value of a solid name and reputation. Their compact
NLR 200 (NLR 45-150) comfortably tows a scissor lift and has payload to spare for Laurie’s other tools , helping the crew to deliver tailored maintenance and service repairs to industrial roller doors across Melbourne. Laurie bought his NLR in 2010 and it hasn’t missed a trick since, and told us that it offers unrivalled “reliability, dependability and serviceability in the field”.
GLEN MICKAN
Glen Mickan’s brightly painted ELF 250 is 31 years old and still going strong on the hobby farm! His loyal Isuzu ELF helps with all sorts of odd jobs, including heavy excavation and landscaping work. Sporting a tipper body and carrying a 3.2-tonne crane, this classic Isuzu is a true blast from the past. Glen said, “It’s so handy and its reliability is awesome, it never lets me down!”
JINAVO PLUMBING & DRAINAGE
Emmanuel from Jinavo Plumbing & Drainage has a lot of good things to say about their Isuzu N Series beauties, and draws our attention to their brand new
NLR 45-150 Traypack from Isuzu’s
RTW range. Fitted with a high pressure jet and often seen pulling an excavator to plumbing jobs around Melbourne, Jinavo’s Traypack allows them to comfortably cart more tools and materials, not only letting them cut down the number of trips to suppliers, but also allowing them to get jobs done more efficiently. Emmanuel enjoys many of their new Traypack’s features and said, “The fuel economy and turning circle is second to none—I can do a full U-turn in a tight spot even with a trailer hitched on the back!”
