Australia’s number one truck brand came into its own in 1989, launching some of the most familiar truck models on Australian roads.

Three decades later and Isuzu is still number one and still providing the best, fit-for-purpose road transport solutions in the country. So, if you are a fan you can’t fail to be impressed over the next few minutes as we take a look at the trucks and technology that’s literally shaped Australian road transport forever. 2009 – 2018: Unchartered Territory Despite the challenges of maintaining prolonged leadership in a mature and competitive market, Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has never been one to rest on its laurels. In 2011, IAL broke new ground releasing four low emission N and F Series Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered trucks. By 2012, IAL had released its most eagerly anticipated model range to date – the 8x4 FY Series range, including one 10x4 (with liftable ‘tag’ axle). Mated to the Allison 4430 automatic transmissions, several models in this series changed the heavy-duty segment forever, inching Isuzu ever closer to the fabled heavy-duty crown. IAL dominated the light-duty market in 2016 with the launch of its Servicepack Ready-to-Work range which won the Best Light Truck award by Delivery Magazine. The Ready-to-Work range continues to be a market favourite particularly with the recent introduction of Tri-Tipper and Vanpack variants. Caption: 2017 Isuzu NLR Tri-Tipper at work. As we begin a new year, the future remains bright for Isuzu Trucks after 30 consecutive years of market leadership. With a strategy to remain ahead of the curve, IAL is focussed on the continuous innovation of its current product range, staff support programs and customer satisfaction services. Isuzu Trucks wouldn’t be where it is today without the dedication of its staff, its Dealers and the unwavering loyalty of its customers.
