Truckpower July 2019 News Wrap

The nation’s most popular truck range turns 60

One of Australia’s most popular light range truck, the Isuzu N Series has just celebrated its 60th anniversary. First introduced to Australia as the Elf in 1959, the range quickly became a local road transport staple and the core of the Isuzu offering—celebrated for its adaptability, durability, fuel efficiency and, of course, reliability.

According to Isuzu Australia Limited’s (IAL) records, stretching back to 1972, total sales of N Series models equates to a staggering 111,300 vehicles, just over half of the brand’s total sales across all weight segments since that time.

“There’s little doubt of the impact this light-duty truck model range has had on the success of the Isuzu brand both here in Australia and all over the world,” said IAL Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Harbison.
