Isuzu Australia Limited Chief to Oversee New Era for Market Leader

On the back of Isuzu Australia Limited’s (IAL) 30 consecutive years of unprecedented Australian truck market leadership, IAL Director and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Harbison, has envisaged an even stronger future for the iconic brand—total market domination. Mr Harbison has been central to IAL’s operational transition plan for some time, and officially took the reins as IAL chief from 1 March, 2019. Speaking broadly, Mr Harbison noted that close customer relationships—a key Isuzu Trucks strength—would be even more critical in the face of a rapid pace of change in the industry. “Isuzu is known for providing the best mix of products most appropriate to the needs of Australia’s road transport operators, and then comprehensively supporting those products and our customers. “IAL will continue to deliver on the fundamentals of what made us so strong, and with our partners, Australia’s largest and most professional truck dealer network, we’ll continue meeting the changing needs of our customers. “The role of transport will remain critical to all aspects of our daily lives and Isuzu is there to deliver,” Mr Harbison said.

Key Executive Changes at IAL

Other key executive changes at IAL include Paul Evans stepping into the role of IAL Director and Chief of Corporate Services. “I’m delighted to announce that our current Company Secretary and Business Planning Manager, Mr Paul Evans, will be elevated to the role of Director and Chief of Corporate Services,” said IAL Director and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Harbison. “Over the last two decades, Paul has played a key role in helping shape and deliver the country’s most professional truck dealer network. This has been critical to our long-term success and Paul’s rise within our organisation is definitely well earned.” Additionally, from 1 March, 2019, the IAL board of directors now comprise Managing Director, Hiroko Yaguchi; Director and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Harbison; Director of Administration and Chief Financial Officer, Hiroaki Kudo; Director and Chief of Corporate Services, Paul Evans; and Director and Isuzu Motors Limited representative, Yasuyuki Niijima.

Isuzu Readies Itself for 2019 Brisbane Truck Show

Isuzu Trucks returns to sunny Queensland for the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show, which will be held from 16 to 19 May. After a successful event in 2017, the show returns to the purpose-built site at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year’s show is set to focus on multiple themes and objectives, including innovation, safety, waste management and sustainability. Isuzu will be at the heart of all the action at this year’s show with a comprehensive line-up of truck models, exemplifying the brand’s 30 years of undisputed truck market leadership. While the stand will showcase an assortment of crowd favourites, some new models to be released later this year will also make an appearance. All eyes are also expected to be on Isuzu’s electric vehicle (EV) truck, a locally developed concept. The EV will be exhibited at the stand, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about its potential as a practical transport solution for the future. Aside from trucks the stand will also showcase Isuzu merchandise and premium products from Isuzu Parts. Outstanding products and services aside, this year’s Isuzu Trucks stand is a reflection of the brand’s steadfast commitment to being the one-stop shop for Australian truck customers looking for efficient transport solutions. To this end, experts will be there at the stand to assist visitors with advice about end-to-end transport solutions.
