Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is very proud to support its ongoing partnership with Life Education Victoria. The national truck market leader recently committed to be naming sponsor for Life Education Victoria’s annual Gala Ball Dinner for 2016 through to 2018.
This year’s black-tie affair will be held at Melbourne’s Hotel Pullman on May 28.
This major fundraising event is an opportunity for supporters, sponsors and the general public, to raise much-needed funds for the delivery of essential early learning and awareness programs related to health, wellbeing and safety.
Life Education is the largest non-government provider of drug and health education for children and young people in Australia.
For 36 years, the organisation has been taking their mobile learning centers – and legendary mascot ‘Harold’ the healthy giraffe – on the road to preschools, primary schools and secondary schools to teach children and young people about a range of subjects from drugs and alcohol, cyber-safety, nutrition, as well as respectful relationships and bullying.
The program reaches over 640,000 children across every state and territory, with over 100 mobile learning centres and 95 specially trained educators.
IAL Chief Operating Officer and Director, Phil Taylor, said, as major sponsor of this year’s Gala Dinner, Isuzu is honored to be so closely aligned with an organisation that has helped millions of Aussie children to lead healthier lives.
“Life Education is an Australian institution and a priceless service for all children who benefit from their work.
“Isuzu has been working alongside Life Education Victoria for a while now, and hearing about the range and scope of activities that they undertake, it is clear that Life Education is a genuine investment in the next generation.
“All the staff at Isuzu are proud to give back to such an important cause, and we’re looking forward to another great night in Melbourne to celebrate the excellent work that Life Education Victoria do.”
Life Education’s Victorian, South Australian and Tasmanian CEO, Michelle Wood, said the support provided by Isuzu is a valued addition to the continuing work they do.
“We have a very strong relationship with Isuzu Trucks. As the Gala naming sponsor, they are a significant partner who enables us to make a real difference. We recognise partnerships are essential to our success, and are very pleased to be recognising and celebrating our major partners at the Gala this year.
“Almost 40 per cent of our operating costs come from fundraising and donations, and the generosity shown by Isuzu, not only in provision of funds, but also in their commitment to support all our endeavours, including the very generous loan of a truck in 2015, is invaluable to us. Our whole team works very hard, and their support inspires us as it recognises that work.”
