BIGGER, BETTER, SMARTER: MTS SERIES II
The expansion of Isuzu Engines’ Made to Stock (MTS) Series II power unit range is already attracting plenty of attention across the market.
Isuzu’s MTS power units are supplied ready to work, which means customers can put them straight into operation, powering many application requirements immediately and without the need for a further build. The range has been designed and rigorously tested to operate in a variety of Australian applications and conditions.
From pumping water to driving hydraulics systems, the units are available in a range of configurations and power outputs. Each power unit is put through its paces before being delivered to customers, ensuring performance and reliability.
This popular line-up is in the midst of a revamp, resulting in the vastly improved breadth of range renamed as the Isuzu Engines MTS ‘Series II.’
The headline addition to the new range is the introduction of three new six-cylinder (Isuzu 6HK1) variants, including both mechanical injection and common rail options and spanning a horsepower range from 192 HP through to 284 HP.
In practical terms, the key upside of this expansion is efficiencies around parts commonality, especially in relation to the new 6HK1 power unit options.
Cooling packages have also been improved across the entire MTS Series II range, with new locally-developed units designed and tempered for Australian conditions. Capabilities have been boosted for higher ambient temperatures, with plate and bar construction for increased strength and a quiet high-flow fan.
The skid bases have also been upgraded with added strength and anti-vibration mounts.
Adding to the functionality and overall efficiency is Isuzu’s locally-developed Engine Controller Pro, which now comes as standard across the MTS Series II range.

- IP 65 weather proof enclosure
- Emergency stop
- Pressure / flow transducer input
- 4G remote interface (optional), and
- LINAK throttle actuator (optional)
