Time really flies! Its April and we’re already a third of the way through the year as we review our latest batch of Isuzu’s Truck of the Year entrants.

The quality of entries has been exceptional so far and we find it increasingly challenging to pick our monthly winner, all of whom go into the running to win a $6,000 Visa cash card and the title of Isuzu Truck of the Year Grand Prize winner. Congratulations to this month’s winner, David Mills, from Target Transport Services, who picks up $300 worth of Isuzu merchandise and goes into the running to be crowned ‘King’ of the Isuzu FY Series range. TARGET TRANSPORT SERVICES Providing the highest quality service in the asphalt and profiling carting industry, David Mills, owner of this immaculate FYX 350-350, said he adores driving his new rig. The FYX is equipped with all the features and benefits his business needs, and more. “Driving this rig is like spending the day in your armchair at home,” said David. Yep, nothing like an Isuzu to keep you comfortable on the road. FS TRANSPORT Fred Sassine’s slick looking Isuzu FYX 2500 tray build boasts a 6-tonne capacity crane. He even had the entire truck wrapped in a Batman/ Gotham City decal, as he takes his truck out to charity events on weekends. But Fred reckons the real hero to be the vehicle’s 35,000 kg GVM, power and torque capacity - all working to deliver unmatched access on work sites and in tricky loading bays. A1 TOWING Being the largest towing and specialised transport service in the central NSW town of Bathurst, A1 Towing will move just about anything anywhere. Be it sensitive freight or an urgent pick up, Jamie Cunningham and his team will cater to your needs with their FRD 110-260, fitted with a Bozmac T-180 tray. “It always gets the job done,  just like the other Isuzu’s in our fleet,” said Jamie. WOLLONGONG CRANE TRUCKS Darren Mortimer’s daily drive from Isuzu’s beloved FY range, is one of a fleet of five Isuzu trucks on the road for WTC. The FY sports an imposing Effer Truck 395 crane with a 500kg lifting capacity at a height of 26 metres. Darren believes the truck to be capable of just about anything. “Each day we are still blown away by what this truck can do.” EVANS TURF SERVICES Chris Evan’s crisp FYJ 300-350 works hard each day floating multiple machines with its 9.4m custom-built tray. With the ability to haul a 17-tonne load, this beast has significantly increased the Evan’s productivity. With return trips to the depot no longer required the FYJ has saved Chris precious time and money. As Chris rightly states, “It’s a game changer!” CHRIS’S CARPET CLEANING Small business owner, Chris Mckenzie, has provided professional carpet cleaning services to Adelaide for over 20 years. Enhancing his business recently was the purchase of a new Isuzu NPR 45-155 Tradepack, which he finds to be a top quality and ultra-reliable truck. Not only is it a pleasure to drive — the build doubles as a great mobile billboard for his business! BAILEY PRINT GROUP The Bailey Print Group is one of Brisbane’s leading digital print and signage companies who deal with visual design, printing production through to displays and installation. Business owner, Peter Bailey, owns two Isuzu NLR 200s that are used to bolster the transport arm of his business in a variety of ways but most of all, he loves the fact that the NLR is able to fit into low areas of roadways where they can easily install pole banners and other urban design collateral. CANBERRA HYDROVAC If you need to access services underground, clear drains or confirm a utility location, you can count on the guys at Canberra Hydrovac to dig deep with their all-Isuzu fleet of three unique hydrovac trucks, two tippers and two field service trucks. Their largest hydrovac truck is built on the proven Isuzu FXZ 240-350 platform, which is regarded as, “…an absolute weapon, with amazing performance.”
