As we March into 2019 (pun intended), Isuzu’s Truck of Year competition is really heating up. We’ve had some fantastic entries from Isuzu owners across Australia, all vying for a chance to go into the running to win a $6,000 Visa cash card for the 2019 Isuzu Truck of the Year Grand Prize.

We reckon they’ve knocked it out of the park with this custom FVZ 260-300. ADVANTAGE COMMUNICATIONS & ELECTRICAL Owner Craig McIver thanks Madill Isuzu for providing his business with an fit-for-purpose transport solution—the NPS 75-155. The NPS has all the features and benefits his business needs. The crew cab variant features five seats with a 3.5-tonne towing capacity, and Craig has fitted it with a custom tray, toolbox, decals, a winch and much more. AKA HAULAGE This immaculate FYJ 300-350, owned by Andrew Speakman, is as hard working as it is good looking. DALE CLEVES MUSIC Dale Cleves transports expensive and delicate musical equipment in safety and style with his impressive Isuzu FVD 165-300. Not just a fit-for-purpose solution, it also gets a great deal of attention with its sleek body build and chrome highlights. DARYL CARSON Daryl is living the great Australian dream, travelling the country with his Isuzu NPR 45-155 Tradepack. It’s the perfect vehicle for taking your life on the road, especially with outstanding safety features and all the power needed to tow a caravan and transport a 4x4 at the same time! SPOT ON PLUMBING & GAS FITTING “This is our mobile plumbing supplies store,” says owner-operator Mitchell Rickard of their Isuzu NPR 55-155. With the business operating in rural Victoria, they need to have all supplies at the ready to be able to service their clients efficiently. The hardworking truck features two large custom toolboxes, as well as custom pipe cages. PHILLIP WHELAN Phillip describes his Isuzu NPR 45-155 as “the best, most reliable tow vehicle in Australia”. With a full-sized caravan to tow, Phillip knows what he needs. He says his 4x4 is now gathering dust, what with the truck outperforming on power and fuel economy. UNIQUE KERBING When landscaping and concreting specialists at Unique Kerbing needed a truck that would tick all their boxes in terms of specifications, they decided to go the Isuzu way. Since the purchase of their Isuzu NQR 450, the truck is fitted with their “Unique” setup and functions as both their mobile billboard and workshop. In the words of Unique’s Ian Bostock, “The truck looks smart and is a comfortable and capable drive, both when its fully loaded or otherwise. It gets the job done with ease!” And with all the compliments received about the truck’s sleek look, this truck is Ian’s pride and joy. ROBERT FIGUEIRAS Rugged but smart, an undisputed performer, and drives like a dream. It’s no wonder then that Robert Figueiras loves his Isuzu FYJ 350. He swears by its driveability and comfort, and is amazed by how the temperature gauge didn’t budge despite driving long distances in hot weather. Robert exclaims, “The truck’s fuel economy is unreal, and the climate control is simply outstanding!” Buying this Isuzu truck has been a blessing for Robert and he is certain that with his next purchase he will be going nowhere else but to his Isuzu dealer. DCM LOGISTICS From commercial goods to other high-value assets, the transport specialists at DCM Logistics seem to do it all. Because their work requires them to transport heavy loads in South East Queensland and New South Wales, they needed a sturdy, tough-as-steel truck that could offer smooth, comfortable drives despite long distances. Luckily, their needs are fulfilled with the Isuzu FYJ 350. Michael Ekin of DCM Logistics is thrilled to bits with his new ride, which he insists “drives like a dream”. COBBITTY GROVE KITCHENS As custom kitchens creators, Cobbitty Grove Kitchens is a busy business that not only customises kitchens but are also responsible for the safe deliveries of their creations across New South Wales. To meet the demands of their work, they went with the Isuzu NPR 45-155. With the truck helping the business fit more deliveries in a day, owner Stuart Eagles said, “We received the truck in December 2018, and since then we have been kicking ourselves for not getting this great truck years earlier!” SRCM TRANSPORT Stephen Morgan of SRCM Transport can’t hide his excitement when it comes to his Isuzu FR which has been always been his choice of drive since he came to acquire it. The perfect workshorse for his line of business, he has run many a long days on it and it always delivers, which he claims proudly speaks to the reliability of the vehicle. COASTAL TRANSIT PARCELS Meet the frontrunner FVR 165-260 that always delivers on reliability, comfort and driveability. For the team at Coastal Transit Parcels, they love their Isuzu that drives like a breeze, with looks to match it all too, making it the envy of onlookers. HUNTER HOME SERVICES As a first-time buyer of truck, Troy Morley of Hunter Home Services was keen to ensure he purchased the right workhorse for his business.
